  • LC Library Events for January 2018

    Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library's annual Spread the Words program, an event that encourages families to read together and discover the wonderful world of books, begins January 27, 2018 at all branches. Authors featured this year are the late Amy Krouse Rosenthal, for children ages 8 and under, and Avi, an author for older children. Books listed on the Freedom to Read Challenged Book List are also included. This event begins on Family Literacy Day, celebrates World Read-Aloud Day on February 1, and finishes on the last day of Freedom to Read Week, Saturday, March 3. Participants have an opportunity to win prizes by entering their name in a draw for each book read independently or together as a family. Entries can be submitted via the library's website at www.lclibrary.ca or by filling out a ballot at your local branch library. 

  • Star Wars Day 2018 at Sarnia Library

    Sarnia, ON – The Sarnia Library will be presenting Star Wars Day” on Saturday, December 30 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at the Library Theatre, East and West Rooms.  The Library will be showing the feature length science fiction action movie "Rogue One: a Star Wars Story" at 10:00 a.m. with a repeat showing at 2:00 p.m. The event will feature displays, games, discussions and demonstrations of the movies, books, video games, and other media.  Admission is free; however, the library will accept donations of canned goods and other nonperishable items for the Inn of the Good Shepherd Food Bank.  Events will run until 8:00 p.m.

  • Bookmobile Unavailable Afternoon of December 5, 2017

    Sarnia, ON – Lambton County Library's Bookmobile will be temporarily unavailable to residents on the afternoon of Tuesday, December 5, at the Pathways Health Centre for Children location.  The parking lot of the facility will be inaccessible due to a repaving project.
