    Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library will be closing all of its branches, including The Bookmobile, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017. All library staff will be participating in a Professional Development Workshop, essential for maintaining good customer service. The library apologizes for any inconvenience.

  • Library Closure for Spring Professional Development Day

    Wyoming, ON – Lambton County Library will close all of its branches, including The Bookmobile, on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 to permit all staff an opportunity to participate in its spring Professional Development Day.


    "With 26 branches across all corners of Lambton County, it can be a challenge to connect in real-time with staff, offer quality information and obtain necessary feedback to improve our service delivery to the public," says Darlene Coke, Manager, Libraries.  "A Professional Development Day is a great opportunity to share successes and ideas and provide instruction on the latest services and technology within the library system.  It is also an occasion to acquaint staff with the theme and materials for this year's TD Summer Reading Program."

     

    Although the libraries will be closed for the day, the online catalogue and eLibrary services, including digital magazines, books, movies, and music will remain available.

    Sarnia, ON - Lambton County Library invites teens, between the ages of 12 - 18, to celebrate Canada's birthday by participating in the 8th Annual Teen Photo Contest from May 1 - 29, 2017.

  • LC Library Events for April 2017

    Wyoming, ON – April is Car Care month and Lambton County Library has a great car resource for up-to-date auto repair, maintenance and service information. Chilton, a trusted resource for over 100 years, can be accessed online, from the home, garage or anywhere you have Internet access and is optimized for mobile devices. Find ChiltonLibrary on the library's website under eLibrary and eResources.


     

    Mobile Makerspace, a rotating collection of technologies, tools and toys, 3D printers and vinyl cutting machines, has arrived at branch libraries. The collections will be available for three weeks before being exchanged to another branch. For programming and workshop information, please visit www.lclibrary.ca.
