Kill-a-Watt Meters

Identify those power hungry appliances in your home and save money with the help of Lambton County Library and Bluewater Power. Ten Kill-A-Watt™ meters are available on a loan basis at Lambton County libraries to help calculate the cost of running your appliances.

Simply connect appliances to the meter and it will assess how efficient your appliances really are. Electrical expenses can be calculated by the hour, day, week, month, or even an entire year enabling customers to adjust their appliance use and cut energy costs.

The Kill-A-Watt™ meters are available for FREE from any library for a three week loan period. A library card is needed to borrow the device.

This unique partnership between Lambton County Library branches and Bluewater Power was generated as a result of the Cityof Sarnia's Community Round Table. After the November 2007 Environmental Summit, working groups were formed to implement ideas to help Sarnia achieve a sustainable future. The availability of Kill-A-Watt™ meters in local libraries was deemed an achievable goal.
