Interlibrary Loan
What is Interlibrary Loan?
Lambton County Library participates in the interlibrary loan program. This program allows you to borrow materials that Lambton County Library does not have from other participating public libraries, academic libraries and from the Ontario Archives. This program is supported by the Ministry of Heritage, Sport, Tourism and Culture Industries through the Ontario Library Service.
How to Use Interlibrary Loan
If you are looking for an item that is not available in Lambton County Library's collection, use the Request for Purchase Form to request the item from another library. Please limit your requests to one item per submission.
Please note that Lambton County Library will not place interlibrary loan orders for the following types of materials: DVD's, audiobooks, paperbacks, board books, picture books and early readers.
There is no cost for the service, unless the lending library charges a fee for materials. If a fee is requested, you will be advised of the fee before the order is placed.
Materials arriving to your local library from the interlibrary loan service must be picked up within seven days, and the borrowing period is three weeks.
