Loans
Generally, you can borrow up to 50 items per library card; however some exceptions apply. View borrowing limits.
There are restrictions to the number of electronic materials and magazines that can be borrowed at any one time. Those limits are listed below:
- Video games (2)
- Playaways (2)
- Movies (5)
- CDs (10)
- Audio Titles (10)
- Magazines (10)

Reservation Limit
If an item is not immediately available at your local library, you can place a reservation on the item. There is a limit of 40 reserved items per library card.

Vacation Loans
You may extend the regular 21-day loan period up to twice per year by requesting a vacation loan, which allows you a six-week loan period.
Return or Renew Your Items
You can return your library materials to any Lambton County Library location. If your local library is closed, you can leave your materials in the drop boxes, which are available at most libraries.
You can renew your items in one of the following ways:
- In person at your local library
- Over the phone with your local library during regular hours of operation
- Over the phone to our 24-hour renewal line at 519-845-1652 or Toll Free 1-844-668-3848
- Online, by signing into to your account on the library's website.
- With your mobile device, by using the Iguana Library App
Note: A library card and pin number are required for renewals made over the phone and online. To change your pin / password, contact your local library, or sign into your account.
