Room and Theatre Rentals

In response to the Province of Ontario transitioning to Step Two of its “Roadmap to Reopening” plans on June 30, 2021, the Sarnia Library Theatre will be permitting public access for the purpose of rehearsing or performing a recorded or broadcasted event, without spectators.

Location: Sarnia Library, 2nd Floor

Cost: $20 per hour
Applicable taxes will be added.

Seating Capacity:

• 306
• 297 with capability of up to five barrier free seats
• there are barrier free seats at both the front and back of the theatre

Rental includes:

• Lighting and sound equipment
• Large projection screen
• Flip chart
• Podium
• Small dressing room
• Foyer area
• Coffee urns
• Folding tables and chairs
• Grand Pianos
  • 9 foot Steinway
  • 6 foot Steinway
• Access to freight and passenger elevators
• Assistance of maintenance staff to set-up lighting/sound equipment *
• Multi-media equipment including Clickshare, Blu-ray player, DVD player, and microphones
• Ceiling mounted projector
• Wireless Internet access

*You are responsible for running equipment during your rental, maintenance staff are only available for set-up assistance.

After Hour Fees

The Sarnia Library Theatre can be made available outside of regular operating hours, on Sundays or statutory holidays. Please call for applicable after hours rates (session fees still apply).

Regular Operating Hours

Monday: 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Tuesday: 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Wednesday: 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Thursday: 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Friday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Saturday: 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Sunday: 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Other Services

Lighting / Sound Technician: $45 per hour

• Designated technician to operate lighting / sound equipment during event

Room Rentals

Rental of either room includes:

• Tables and chairs
• Flip chart
• Access to freight and passenger elevators
• Assistance of maintenance staff to set-up room and equipment *
• TV and multi-media equipment
• Ceiling mounted data projector
• Screen
• Wireless Internet access

*Maintenance staff are only available for assistance with set-up

Piano Practices: $10 per hour

• Scheduled practice time for a minimum of one hour to a maximum of three hours

Piano Tunings

• At user's request, special tunings can be arranged
• Tuning costs will be invoiced to the user group
• Service is dependent on the availability of the tuner

Applicable taxes will be added to all services.
