Clash of the Classrooms
Attention educators! Register and participate in Clash of the Classrooms reading challenge from February 5 - March 8, 2024.
Homeschool, elementary and secondary school classes are invited to participate in the Clash of the Classrooms Reading Challenge hosted in partnership with Chatham-Kent Public Library (CKPL) and Lambton County Library. This is an opportunity to foster teamwork and a love of reading within the classroom.
Register now via Beanstack, a web-based reading tracking service that enables individuals and groups to easily track their reading progress. Learn how to register for Beanstack here.
From February 5 to March 8, educators can use Beanstack to report their classes’ reading progress.
- Classes earn badges for reaching reading milestones and completing activities
- Any time that students spend reading in and outside of class during the challenge can be added to class reading totals

Prizes:
- Pizza Party for Most Minutes Read
- Four elementary classes, two from County of Lambton and two from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent will win a pizza party
- Two high school classes, one from County of Lambton and one from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent will win a pizza party
- Cash Prize for Most Collective Minutes Read
- Two homeschool groups, one from Lambton County and one from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent will win a cash prize towards their library or learning commons
- Two elementary schools, one from Lambton County and one from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent will win a cash prize towards their school library or learning commons
- Two high school schools, one from Lambton County and one from the Municipality of Chatham-Kent will win a cash prize towards their school library or learning commons
- Clash Cup Trophy
- The Clash Cup is awarded annually to the Clash of the Classrooms champion. The school with the most recorded reading will have their school’s name added to the trophy. The trophy will be displayed at the library location closest to the winning school.
