Summer Reading Challenge
Read all summer long with Lambton County Library!
July 2 - August 11, 2024
This year’s Summer Reading Challenge theme is 'Tales Through Time'. Read, use your imagination, explore the outdoors, and be involved in your community! Participate at home, online, or wherever your summer takes you. Set reading goals for yourself and report how many books you have read weekly for a chance to win prizes.
Kids (0 - 12)
Kids can participate in the Summer Reading Challenge by registering on Beanstack or at any Lambton County Library location. When you sign up, kids will receive an age-specific registration package (0-4 years, 5-8 years or 9-12 years) in English or French which will include a passport, program instructions, stickers, supplies for one DIY activity, activity sheets and a recommended reading list. For every five books read, kids will earn one free book to a maximum of three book prizes.
Social Media Contest
Capture the fun and you could win!
We want to see all the enjoyment being had with the Summer Reading Challenge so we've decided to host a challenge on Facebook. Pick up a kit at your nearest library and join our Summer Reading Challenge. Snap photos of you and your Squishmallow cut-out located in your passport while completing activity badges throughout the summer.
Share your pictures in the comments under this post (link coming soon) and follow our page for a chance to win an Amazon Fire Tablet and a plush reading buddy!
Each photo you submit serves as a ballot, so the more badges you complete and share, the greater your chances of winning.
