Service Canada Citizen Services Specialist
Lambton County Library is working with Service Canada to bring vital government services closer to residents in rural areas. A Citizen Services Specialist from Service Canada is available in January and February 2025 at select library locations to help you with applications for Service Canada programs and/or benefits. This includes Social Insurance Numbers, Canadian Dental Care Plan, Employment Insurance, Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security and other Government of Canada programs and services.
The service is available on a first-come, first-served basis, no pre-registration is required. Clients will need a valid piece of government-issued ID and a Social Insurance Number (SIN) to access service. To obtain a Social Insurance Number, clients will need a birth certificate or citizenship document, a government-issued ID, and name linking document such as a marriage certificate.
