Book Cover Design Contest Winners Announced
Wyoming, ON – After reviewing 72 submissions from children aged 5 – 12, a panel of jurors have selected six winners in the Lambton County Library and Gallery in the Grove Book Cover Design Contest, held in recognition of the Gallery’s latest exhibit, CANSCAIP in the Grove: The Art of Picturebooks, which features artwork from the Canadian Society of Children’s Authors, Illustrators and Performers (CANSCAIP).

The contest winners will have their designs displayed at Gallery in the Grove’s exhibit running September 9, 2023 – October 28, 2023, while all submissions will be displayed at Sarnia Library from September 22 – October 22, 2023.
The six contest winners are: Aurora Gu (grand prize winner for age category 5-8), Tristan Bonin (prize winner for age category 5-8), Isabelle Lalji (prize winner for age category 5-8), Malina Wszolek-Edey (grand prize winner for age category 9-12), Elyse Case (prize winner for age category 9-12), and Delaney Grover (prize winner for age category 9-12).
“The Book Cover Design Contest encouraged kids to use their imaginations and artistic skills to represent their favourite book through art,” said Vanitia Campbell, Public Services Coordinator – Youth with Lambton County Library. “We would like to acknowledge all of the kids who responded to the call for submissions with their creative entries. The entries were wonderful!”

The Gallery in the Grove's hours of operation are Monday to Thursday from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Admission is free.
Sarnia Library’s hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
